  • Mobile app doesn’t consider local travelcard?

Hello everyone, I noticed today that the mobile app sometimes doesn’t consider that a part of the itinerary is already covered by a local travelcard. I want to travel from Lucerne Station to my address in Zurich. I have a Half-Fare card and a ZVV pass, both in course of validity and on my Swisspass, visible in the app. If I look for the entire itinerary, the app suggests IR75 to Zurich HB and then tram n. 3, and the price for a ticket is 15.40 CHF. But if I look for the itinerary to Zurich HB it suggests the same IR75 train for a price of 13.50 CHF. As I already have a ZVV pass, the app should offer, in the ticket selection for the entire trip, only the ticket for the Lucerne-Zurich HB leg, for 13.50, not 15.40. Below are relevant screenshots from the app:

  • ZVV Zone travelcard plus Easyride

I have a ZVV local zone travelcard, this is loaded onto my swisspass and SBB app, this means that when I use easyride, the price is calculated after the benefit of the local travelcard is deducted. All so far so good.
My question is, if I make a small local journey (Zurich city centre tram) which is fully covered by the travelcard, do I still need to swipe in using Easyride (for nil cost) or is the fact that I own the travelcard enough? I dont want to risk getting it wrong in case of a control…!
    Thank you.

  • Unexpected high pending charge from SBB

Hello, I need help understanding an issue with the SBB Mobile app and a payment made with my Revolut card. Yesterday, I purchased a ZVV Single Ticket (Zürich Flughafen → Zürich Oerlikerhus) which cost CHF 7.
I also checked my EasyRide journeys, and it shows a provisional price of CHF 12, which makes sense. However, on my Revolut account I see a pending charge of CHF 96.60 from SBB. Revolut shows the transaction as “Pending” and says that if the merchant does not complete the transaction, the amount will automatically be released on 11 December. In the SBB Mobile app: Under Valid tickets, nothing appears. Under Expired tickets, only the CHF 7 ticket shows. Under EasyRide → Past journeys, it displays “Provisional price: CHF 12”. So I’m confused why a much higher amount has been pre-authorized. Can someone please confirm: Is this high amount a standard pre-authorization from EasyRide? Will the final charged amount be adjusted to the actual journey (CHF 12)? Should I expect the CHF 96.60 to be automatically released if SBB does not finalize it? Thank you in advance!
