Conditions of participation.

Participation in the SBB competition is free of charge and is not related to any purchase or the use of paid services. The participant does not enter into any contractual or other legal obligations with SBB or third parties. The data which the participant supplies are neither passed on to third parties nor consigned to them for their use. Only persons of legal age and capable of acting are entitled to take part in this competition. Employees of SBB and their dependents, as well as agencies commissioned by SBB and their employees, are excluded from taking part. By participating in the competition, the entrant declares that they agree with its rules:

1. Data use.

The data provided by participants will be solely used by RailAway AG and SBB to inform the winners. It will not be passed on to third parties. The data will be deleted one month after the winners are notified.

2. Data protection.

The protection of privacy is an important matter for SBB. The SBB data protection declaration (privacy policy) may be viewed under the following link: sbb.ch/en/privacy-policy

3. Participation.

For participation in the draw to be valid, the entrant must have taken part in the competition and must have registered via the form. This information is automatically transmitted to SBB. There is no purchase obligation. Any person with a valid Swiss postal address is entitled to take part. Winners are drawn at random.

The competition ends on 16.08.2026 at 11.59pm.

4. Notification and identification of the winners.

After the winners are drawn, they are informed personally via e-mail that they have won. If the winner does not respond to the event organiser within a period of 48 hours, a new winner is selected.

5. Payment.

The prize will only be issued to the winner. The prize is only allocated as a non-cash prize. The prize cannot be exchanged or paid in cash value. The prize is transmitted automatically to the saved e-mail address after a response is received from the winner. Risk with regard to the non-cash prize is thereby transferred to the winner. The winner of the prize is responsible for any payment of tax.

6. Disqualification from the competition.

SBB is entitled to exclude individual participants if there are justified reasons, e.g. breach of the conditions of participation, interference with the competition, manipulation, etc.

7. Legal recourse.

No correspondence will be entered into with regard to the competition. The judges’ decision is final. There is no right to an enforceable claim for awarding, payment or exchange of prizes. Swiss law applies exclusively.

8. Modifications to the rules of participation and termination of the competition.

SBB reserves the right to modify the conditions of competition, participation or the prize draw at any time. SBB also reserves the right to terminate or suspend the competition at any time. This applies in particular where there are causes which would disrupt or hinder the scheduled course of the competition.

9. Limitations of liability.

Insofar as legally permissible, SBB is exempt from any liability.

10. Severability clause.

Should any provisions of the conditions of participation become ineffective or unenforceable, the effectiveness of the other provisions remains unaffected by this. More effective and more enforceable regulations, which are closest to the effects of the objective which SBB has pursued, should take the place of the ineffective or unenforceable provisions. In the event of a discrepancy between the German, French, Italian and English versions of these conditions of participation, the German version is regarded as decisive.

These conditions of participation may be modified by SBB at any time.
